Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation Lauds House Vote for Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act
Tuesday May 24, 6:15 pm ET Cheers from Advocates for Disabled As House Votes for Hope SPRINGFIELD, N.J., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation (CRPF), the non-profit organization founded by the late actor Christopher Reeve and his wife Dana Reeve to fund research for cures and treatments for spinal cord injuries and provide resources for people living with disabilities, applauds the House of Representatives for voting in favor of H.R. 810, the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act. ADVERTISEMENT "We are grateful to all members of the House who heard the concerns of the people and voted to support this historic legislation," said Michael Manganiello, senior vice president of Government Relations for the CRPF. "We look forward to working with the administration and the Senate to move this important research forward. "We all share the goal of helping millions of Americans suffering from these devastating conditions," Manganiello noted. "In a time of extreme partisanship, this is one area where there is broad bi-partisan support among the electorate and a very easy place for Republicans and Democrats to work together to provide hope to those suffering from spinal cord injury and a range of other conditions." The CRPF will continue to support the bill to ensure its passage in the Senate and enactment into law. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050524/nytu129.html?.v=12 http://stores.ebay.com/MAKSYM-Variety-Store |
