What does everyone do to keep from getting bored?

I'm a c5/6. I can't find shit to do ever except go to movies or sit and watch my friends do shit. What does everyone else do?

I don't mind much but I feel like I bore my girlfriend to death.

Anyone have advice, ideas?

You have a girlfriend, thats a good start, there must be things you both like to do. Do you drive, any hobbies, places of interest to visit, read, just enjoy every day like it was your last and make the best of it!

  • Go to school
  • Get a job
  • Join a club
  • Take up a hobby (photography, for example)
  • Wheelchair sports
  • Volunteer for a cause you feel strongly about
  • Travel
  • Tutor kids
  • Write (journal, blog, etc.)
This is just a start. I am sure others will have suggestions too.

For crying out loud! You do all that and you are still belly-aching? For fun every day or two i hold my breath so my vent alarm will go off. Thats the highlight of my week. Enjoy what you can do...I will be happy to trade you bodies.

I know where you're coming from but don't have any suggestions.

However much we join in and participate it's never "the same".

You like to work on cars, great, what's stopping you now? I had two years training before I joined the military then was in the motorpool four years. After I got out I got a job at a dealership and about 18 months later I broke my neck. That was 39 years ago, I still work on cars. Sometimes it takes laying on a liter to reach across and those damn slippery tools keep falling, about the time the bolt comes loose its time to pee but damn it the job gets done. Determination, imagination, use what you got. Its a lot more fun than looking!

Keep challanging yourself to something new everyday. Brainstorm what you have to do to make it work for yourself. I still turn a wrench and do all the light maintenence on my vehicles. I have my wife drive the car/truck on ramps, transfer on the floor and then onto a pair of floor creepers that I attached together. Changing oil takes awhile, but it's the idea knowing I can still do it. That's just one example to alot of other things if you engineer the right equipment to get the job done.
Get a handcycle and hit the bike trails.
Workout and gain strength. Your gonna need it as your body ages.
What do your rugby buddies do to past time besides shit.
Less think'n and more doing.
