Today in Nashville it is a near record 96 degrees. Poor Bente. At least she will get here in the PM.

I looked it up-it has actually been cooler in Monument Valley than OK this week! and the humidity, oy.

Bente, I just ordered a Norwegian/English dictionary, so if we need to say nutmeg we might be able to figure it out LOL. It will be here before you get here, or so they say.

When she sees the heat she will know why I told her to bring a swimsuit, I guess.

Christie, I hate for you to spend $$ on a motel room when you guys can just stay here. And Tulsa isn't exactly next door to OKC. I even got my carpets shampooed so nobody had to sleep near Dingo-fur! So think about it. That motel money is something you could spend doing cool thing with Bente...

I still have no email but fixed the power cord so I have a little computing power now, btw. I think I'll still have to take it in.

Oh thanks Beth I may on the night that I come to OKC with Bente but the others I need to be seeing my neice and nephews and all my little cousins. That's what I'm bringing the kids for, cousin time. My sisters place is small and a night or two is okay. And she does have a pool in the apartments so it's not too bad. We may also stay the night that we come through if there's fishing or whatever in Mulhall. I NEED to get there at some point for some fried pickles at Lucille's.

I am on the way to get her at the airport after this. I have had a very stressful day which ended with my check engine/and transmission light on. I have exactly 1100 miles left on my warranty and a lot of huge trips coming up. But it's all okay. When I first saw that at 4:00 knowing there's no rental cars around here and one hour until the mechanics left I freaked. Thankfully they are really good to me and it wasn't anything major. I hope this isn't a bad sign. I want Bente to have an adventure but not one that involves pushing on the interstate somewhere in Georgia. LOL

We'll check in later.

I have yet to even turn on a fan much less an air conditioner this year. I love love love the high desert.

My kid has had her air conditioner cranking since mid april....LOL

I believe it is quite toasty near the Grand Canyon though.

If she is still delayed just go online for that airline and look for her flight number. It will list how much delay or to call the airline for details.
