Skin whitening? Need experience?

If anyone has experience with darkening of the skin around the mouth and under the armpits?
What may be the causes? and what are the best treatment modalities; both systemically and topically?

Hi,

It is very difficult to discuss skin problems on line as skinchanges are highly variable based on an individuals pigment, etc.
But one can often see a skin discoloration as you describe with a fungal type infection of tinea versicolor. Check out the symptoms and see if it relates.

I would encourage you to see your doctor. Many times a primary care doctor can handle this. If not, you will be referred to a dermatologist.

my darker skin in areas like arm pits around mouth and, on the inside of theigh area was caused by liver and kidney problems. it went away some for me once my organs were functioning better. pregnancy also caused a similar discoloration.
