Spinal fusion gone wrong - Vertebras fused wrong

I have desperately tried to find other people like me or a solution for having 7 vertebras having fused crooked about 15 years ago. I had disks removed and the vertebras were fused with no rods being placed. About a month after the surgery my spine naturally rotated to it's original position, fusing that way.

Any help, advice, suggestions, anything is welcome. Thanks.

I agree. Have you seen both an orthopedic spine specialist and a neurosurgeon who specializes in spinal surgery? At this point, it is not very likely that you would be a surgical candidate as more surgery is just likely to make matters worse.

Do you have any neurologic deficits as a result of this defect? Chronic pain due to "Failed back" surgery is very common, and unfortunately there is not a lot that can be done for this pain. More surgery often makes it worse, or puts you at risk for actually having damage to the cord or spinal nerve roots and ending up worse off.

Don't give up!

I had the same thing happen to me and I haven't stopped trying to find a way to fix it. I have actually found doctors that felt there were options and what has been stopping me is my lung capacity. After I can increase my lung capacity I should be able to get corrective surgery.
