Bad Results

My last DR.'s appointment , the news wassn't good as my wife works in the office she was told to read his notes on my last appointment and it was as follows , Larry's rare lung disease is in it's final stages and he feels like he's a burden to his family ,now my feelings on this are as follows I am in my appartment most of the time when I go out I have to struggle around pushing a portable oxygen tank that only lasts about 1hr.40min. that time flies by and it's time to go home and get a refill , it's getting tougher and tougher to get around , so now I have disscused with my DR. it may be time for me to go into Primitive care and pray to the good Lord for a better life in the passing , the last 24 years I've had 21 operations and right now I'm on 20 medications a day , way to much for any one person to have to be a part of , so I just want to thank you for being part of this web site ,I'll know the the final answer will be after talking with the DR.'s over the next 2 weeks and I hope and pray it's not to late for that specialist to do his thing .LBUSH49

Sorry you've had such a tough row of it lately, oxygen dependence surely does cut into the "freedom" outside the home. Only thing left to say, is happy sailing, and you are in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully the specialist can halt the progression and improve your lung function. Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing such difficulties. Is there a way an additional tank could be brought with you on outings, such as in a backpack, so that you had more time outside? Wishing you the very best and hoping your doctor might have some solutions for you.

We appreciate your contributions to the website. Sorry to hear you aren't doing better.Discuss all options with your doctor and family and you will make the right decisions but the fight isn't over yet.
