Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman

Is this an act, or is he reincarnated before our eyes into a drug-induced homeless man?

That had me cracking up when I saw that.

I'm thinking it's an act. Supposedly he and Casey Affleck are working together on some sort of mockumentary. Even if it's for real, I think uncomfortable interview situations like that are hilarious.

I saw it live, too. It had to have been an act. Either way it was hilarious.

Letterman is the king of uncomfortable interviews.

One of my favorites.

I didn't and don't imagine Letterman saw many options besides giving Joaquin the needle. What a frickin zombie; more like a "twitcher".

I wasn't so sure it was an act.
I thought Letterman should have gone to a commercial and come back with a fill in sitting in the seat. He's had enough stoned guests over the years to have a general feeling for when someone is impaired.

Joaquin has seriously bad nerves. I think they've got the best of him lately.

I really hope it's just an act.
It made me sad to see him that way, which is weird because I normally wouldn't have that reaction to a celebrity.
I just know he is a brilliant actor and has so much potential...and if that wasn't an act I'm sorry to see what has become of him.

I don't; I think it's likely a psychological crisis of some sort.

I also think he is faking. Something tells me it's a hoax in the making.
