Congrats to you, My395 and Arndog and Mark. Sounds like a lot of fun, and what a great accomplishment.

My395, thanks for checking in. I'm glad you guys had fun. Of course, why wouldn't you?

Steve, we're just north of Milwaukee but we can travel. Let me know when you're planning your trip and I'll come your direction if I can. (with fishing pole and kayak)

At some point this morning I decided that I was perfectly capable of getting around the house without my hiking poles. Sure enough. As long as there's a wall close by I'm good. Crossing the wide open spaces of the living room takes a bit of advanced thought.

Let me get this strait, My395, Arndog and Mark made it all the way to the top of the pass. Unbeleavable.............Arms and lungs of steel.

And Truly can walk around the house without poles, with only a little wall support.
You all are a tough act to follow.

We had a great day climbing and descending the east side of Tioga Pass. The downhill was rocking' fast and smooth. I would do Tioga again just for the opportunity to fly down that in my Force R. On the way up, wildflowers lined the road. It was fun meeting up with someone (395) from Care Cure Forum at 5 am and everyone was on time. Days like today make gimphood tolerable.

Truly - that is great about getting around with the walls - I do the same thing. Now try carrying a glass of wine and a laptop in your hands....

Where? My wife is from Port Washington & she has siblings in Cedarburg and Manitoac.
I usually don't hit that side, though, as her mom's house is alllllll the way on the other side of WI.
I can do the wall thing as long as I don't need to carry much, as well as get around the outside of a car, ect - good skill to have - I'm kind of screwed as my right leg is longer due to me crushing my left one (the good one) in over 25 pieces, Titanium rod and all that, and to make it worse the right one goes completely rigid with tone if allowed to.
So, I run a 1.75" riser on the left one to give me a "leg up"
try a cyclist's messenger bag - they work great for gimpin' around, come in all sizes & snazzy/fashonable colors, easy to swing around your body - you can wheelchair in one, too.........

Truly- I can totally relate to the walls. I do the same thing with my cane. I don't use my cane outside just in the house where I know that I have something to grab just about everywhere. Been thinking about trying ski poles or some type of walking sticks myself.

It is nice to have kindred spirits to check in with who are going through the same types of things as me and are trying to make the most of it with whatever we get back.

There is a little swell building here. I am texting my friends right now to see if anyone can go surfing with me. This afternoon and tomorrow morning the swell will reach the 4-5 ft range. That would be the biggest I have tried thus far. Hopefully one of my boys will be able to go with me. I need help getting to the water. If I miss out oh well, it's supposed to be 3 ft on Sunday morning.

I went for a nice trike ride this morning while my daughter ran along side. Trying to rest up today. I try to take Wednesdays and Sundays off from any resistance training, but I ma trying to be on my feet as much as possible so there reallya are no days off from that.

Paddled out in some pretty solid surf this evening. Paddle out was tough and the drift was pretty swift. I caught two solid waves and took the second all the way to the beach. Ended up about a block and half south due to the drift. My wife had to run up the beach and grab my walker while I sat there and watched the surf.

Had to walk back up the beach to our stuff and then back to the car. I hadn't thought of the drift factor. Always something new to consider. I did wear a leash this time. Didn't want to end up swimming if I could avoid it. This was probably right at my limit size wise tonight for now. Good that I pretty much know most of the guys there so I feel safe. It's not so much the waves but the energy it takes to paddle through the surf that gets me. I have to build my endurance back then I will feel more comfortable. The walk and getting in the water is getting much easier.

Congrats on your victory crypto. Nice when things just fall into place.
