Well, I thought the moleskin was doing the job. But then peeling off a piece tonight and took a nice 1cm circle of skin and flesh with it (from under my big toe). I guess the good news is that its pink and bloody underneath (rather than being totally gross). Think I'll just leave the other bits on my heel and other spots for the time being and hope for the best.

Nice lunchtime training today (60km on the bike) with beautiful clear blue sky. A balmy 11C, but with 25km/hr 'breeze' coming straight off the nearest mountain range which was dusted with snow last night, I reckon the wind chill factor would have been close to freezing.

6 miles - racing wheelchair.

I need to start taping my first two fingers - I've got blisters on my blisters.

34 miles on the handcycle today. It was 99 degrees outside when I finished. I am tired.

Been doing about an hour on the handcycle attached to the trainer most evenings.

20 miles yesterday, 20 miles today on the bike. Very hot both days. More climbing today. Got passed by a couple riders hunkered down on their tri-bars. I'm sure they thought I was a slug.

Handcycle ride at an altitude of zero. Monterey along the ocean to 17 mile drive to Pebble Beach and back. AWESOME ride along the ocean with waves crashing on the rocks and cypress trees along the ocean shore. Not a great fan of flat rides, but this one does rate up there as most pleasurable. 30ish miles, 2ish hours. Not really keeping track. Plus it is Tour de france time. Yesterday crutches walked in point lobos park. Really beautiful.
