Screwed up priorities
Screwed up priorities.
It's crazy how screwed up our societies priorities are. Check out these figures for movies and hockey players. Why is so much money spent on entertainment? Re: Hockey Players salaries
This is exactly why I no longer find an interest in professional sports!! How can they justify paying ANYONE this kind of money just to play a game.

There is no way a guy in tights is worth $72 million just to watch. And all this while science and the real arts go underfunded and unappreciated. This is one of the reasons I really miss living in Europe. I'm American to the core but I prefer ballet tickets I can afford to shelling out over $100 a seat for football and that doesn't include the $6 beers. No wonder our pro-atheletes do drugs. WWhat else costs enough to warrant these kind of salaries?
