That's so sad! I didn't realize they could take someone off the ventilator that wasn't in a vegetative state? I was always under the impression that it was only an option if thee person was brain dead, and has a health care directive (or whatever that form is called). I guess maybe I've never heard of a case like this.

her choice. shows courage. i wouldnt want to be a vent quad either

That's a bit harsh. Unfortunately, none of us get to choose our injuries.
We're all individuals and maybe we should reserve judgement.
