My bottom has a cut on it

I have recently noticed what appears to be a “knife cut” approximately 1/8 inch deep and 1 inch in length.
It is on my right cheek. Of course, I have remained in bed since I noticed the bleeding in my underwear last night. So far, I have cleaned the site with Nueorsporin (sp?), before dressing. It seems to be improving already, and I intend to see the wound care experts at U T. Southwestern.
In the meantime, can anyone make any suggestions?
