Permobil Experiences

I'm taking delivery of a new Permobil C400 in two weeks. I currently have a seven year old Jazzy which has given me big problems the last month. Quit twice and was repaired once. Sparky is now officially deceased.

I would appreaciate knowing members' experiences with Permobil and what is good and not so good about this chair.

Thanks for the info.

Thumbs up PERMOBIL Power Chairs

Hi, have a C300 since Dec. 2006, been a pretty good WC so far. Have the full package-recline, tilt, leg lifts and seat lift. The back recline malfunctioned about 6 months ago but was not a major defect-I'm a bit hard on my chairs so think I may have helped the problem along. The C300 is pretty good outside as well but still not all-terrain, all-in-all, think you
may enjoy your new chair. Enjoy and Best of Luck. Ciao from Jersey.

My mother just took delivery of her 400. So far, she loves it. We haven't put it through all its paces though as we are waiting to get the EZ-Lock added to it, so up to now it has just been used around the house and yard. She got most of the features (tilt, recline, etc.) but not the seat lift, although she would have loved it. With her Medicare, many of the features where not covered, so that additional expense would have just been too much. Had a good vendor and a good PT for the eval (who also wrote the medical justification for the physician to sign).

I will be receiving my second Permobil, a C500 VS, thanks to the VA. I have two questions (1) What are the differences between the Chairman 2k and the C500, besides electronics? (2) Do you think Permobil will be willing to ship the chair with R-net electroncs rather than Piolot +( When the chair was price quoted in June the R-net electronics was not available yet)?
