It could be difficult to find depending on where you are looking and how much you are able to afford. Some new construction has accessibility features but most construction is older and modifications need to be made. Also, NYC apartments tend to be small and lack space for roll in showers. Would you be able to use an alternative set up to shower? Have you started your apartment search yet? Do you plan to work with a broker or go it alone? I've been able to find a place both ways. Though, it has taken a significant amount of time to find suitable places (6 to 12 months).
