Well that's a discouraging opinion and I wish I could refute it. Maybe I need to purchase emphasizing parts availability. For me that would mean Invacare since their Headquarters is not far away.

Agree Tom It is sad that this quality control issue plagues literally Most all power wheelchair manufacturers .

It disgusts me when those of us who really depend on our wheelchairs have to deal with this enigma
I wish I could help everyone in need ..
In the meantime I hope you have a nice day
Keep Smiling
Sincerely ;

Bazouli,
Yes there are Lemon Laws for Durable Medical Equipment. It's different in every state, so you'll need to find your state's version.

I ended up with a Permobil Lemon which is being sent back. Nothing but trouble for a year and a half. I just hope my replacement will be better. Not having a lot of confidence about this though. . .

Even with all the trouble, Permobil is still supposed to be the best chair out there. As was discussed above, all makers are cheaping out now. I was told chairs made for the US market are only made to last 5 years now.

You got to double check with the monochrome LCD also!

I got my Permobil stander just over two years ago. Both drive motors failed along with other problems. Each time something broke the repairman from the local dealer came to access the problem they billed me 25 bucks and another 25 to replace the part when it came in. The factory Rep got called in after it got stuck in the elevated position on a rainy night ten miles from home, we barely managed to get it through to door of the van. I was billed for his visit to decide what Permobil needed to do to fix it, again to pick it up and again to return it from it's trip to ,as I recall, Nashville Tn. for factory repairs. At this point nobody responds to new email over failures never resolved and questions about adjustments it needs now. I did save all the email throughout the ordeal. Yesterday I contacted my Pa. State Representative and his office is getting involved.
