I've not tried cymbalta or lyrica. I don't know what lyrica is, but I will stay away from it if it causes heat. Thanks for tip! At night I take ambien CR...it helps me sleep thru the heat and pain. I wouldn't be able to sleep for one straight hour without the ambien.

Lyrica is sometimes considered a next-generation version of Neurontin, with similar benefits for neuropathic pain. Just because it might cause sweating in someone doesn't necessarily mean it's also causing heat.
