cheap lobster

lobsters have been as low as six dollars a pound around here. Good for lobster lovers, bad for lobster fishermen. Apparently the Canadian processors don't have the credit to buy Maine's excess lobsters and high gas prices put a dent in the tourist trade. If you haven't noticed this yet you might want to look around for a good sale. The excess should be ending soon.

We have settled into lobster rolls as our favorite because we can split a single 1 1/2 lb lobster between us. Also made some pasta and lobster with cream sauce. Very nice!
