I'm sorry I have been away and am late to follow up. He is supposedly a C5 complete. He was just transfered back here to Nashville. I misunderstood that he was living in Michigan but they were vacationing there. This is a friend of a friend of a friend so I'm getting a lot of information lost in translation I am sure. I know he has had complications with pneumonia and had a trach put in this morning.
Thanks for all of your support. I always hate to hear of a new member.

The Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) is one of the nations leading faciltieis. (Detroit Medical Ctr.)

I first entered RIM in June of 2006 in a wheel chair (incomplete sci) and within 6 months I was walking with the assistance of leg braces and walker, 4 months later one leg brace and a walker, 3months later a KAFO and a cane and currently a orthosis and cane.

SCI patients from all over the country are seeking treatment at RIM and are getting great results.

Thanks. He's in TN now. He's having some problems. I've tried to be supportive and given them lots of information. Hopefully they will listen to me and get him to Shepherd or soemwhere. I was informed that he doesn't want to live like this and they don't want to see him live "like that". It pissed me off and I have distanced myself some. Hopefully time will improve things.
