Chiropractic on C-2
I just stopped going to a chiropractor ho had convinced me that my orbital seg was dangerously close to my cervical spine. I'm vused/laminectomy from c-3 to c-7, so he ws focusing on c-2. Of course, because of the fusion, I had developed a slight bulge at c-2. The stiffness/crushing feeling that I have from traps to feet only continued to get worse at a greater degree during the 2 months I went to him. I decided to stop going, told my Neurologist about it...had an mri done (no additional damage done to the cord or to the metal structure), and told the chiropractor the neurologist (who actually recommends patients to chiropractors for certain conditions) couldn't believe he would manipulate c-2 given the condition of my cervical spine. Of course, he also noted how desperate it was of me to have even allowed it (he probably meant how stupid). In a letter I just received from the chiropractor, he feels very let down that I won't be continuing my treatments, and that he feels it's very dangerous for me not to. He understands "traditional" medicine's lack of understanding as to the value of chiropractic medicine, and that there would be far fewer people in wheelchairs if chiropractic medicine were followed instead of traditional medicine. Any thoughts???
