College Food?

Ok so this year we have a full kitchen with a fridge, microwave, oven, stove, George Foreman Grill. I'm not relegated to Ramen, Hot Pockets and Bagel Bites anymore. I don't trust myself with the stove or oven but the microwave and Foreman grill I'm pretty good with.

Any experience with easy stuff to make on the grill or good microwaveable food? I keep a pretty strict diet with the stuff I eat, I like to keep it to chicken when it comes to dinner but any suggestions? Thanks all.

darren,

Healty Choice microwavable meals are great and taste great!

Also any type of sandwitches are easy and fast to make and are also healthy. Just get the pre-sliced stuff, I like the extra thin.

Steak/Pork/Chicken is easy to make on the Foreman just get the right type of rub and it wont' taste bad either.

If it does taste bad, just smother it in A1 sauce.

That Foreman grill is really going to come in handy ... skinless boneless breast of chicken with Montreal Chicken Spice. Boiled green vegetables ... or microwaved ones.

When David is gone, potatoes go by the wayside. Goodbye carbs!

If I'm really stuck and in a hurry for work, Michelinas frozen dinners are the tastiest.

Stouffers is good. Love their fettucine alfredo and macaroni and broccoli. Birds Eye complete meals in the bag are also good. Just dump contents into a pan, add water, simmer and voila...literally.

They're all chicken based too.

To quickly add chicken chunks to a meal, try Tysons cooked chicken chunks in a pouch.

Tuna steaks are great on the Foreman. Get them thick so they don't break up.

I use my oven all the time. Wheel up sideways, pull the rack out with a fork in my quad grip. Tray on my lap and then kind of flick stuff on it with a fork.

I don't use the hob, which is a shame because I miss cooking pasta. Not found a way yet.

Try using an electric kettle, one without an element.

I like those Stouffers Corner Bistro Panini sandwiches..you just microwave them & they are good! My favorite one is the Southwest style chicken panini.

Chicken breast are always good too when marinated in something.

Only thing bad about those Foreman grills is all the good "juice" drains out, then you have dry meat...
