I thought that I would tell you guys that in the last couple of months I have run into three students from the class that I spoke to. It usually started like this. "Hey, aren't you the guy that spoke in my Into to Policy Making class?" They all said that I was an engauging speaker and that they learned a lot. I'm not sure if they sent any letters or not, but that's thirty more people that now know more than they did before that class. I was very self concious about speaking, but they made me feel realy good about it.

Great idea. I also use my address book and email updates on research and advocacy to every one I know. Some of my "older" relatives have jumped on board and sent letters. When they got replies, it simply fueled their advocacy efforts.
