Matress pad
I have an air matress that is always fluxuating the air with a pump. I need to know what kind of pad that can be put under me so that I can be pulled over to one side or another to be turned? I know about the disposible ones. I am looking for the kind that you can wash & reuse like the cloth ones.

What kind of mattress are on you (brand and type)? If it is a low air loss mattress, you want to minimize the linens between you and the bed. A draw sheet can be used to move you in bed. This can be a full flat sheet cut in half and hemmed, or folded in half (as we often do in the hospital).
A non-disposable absorbant bed pad (like a paper chux) is designed to absorb liquids like urine, and will often be too thick and not allow the airflow around your skin so important if you need a low air loss mattress. If you want to purchase fabric (non-paper) Chux, here is a good source: HDIS (KLD) |
