Kudos to Bridget

Here is a member who is taking an active role in getting proper care for fellow SCI sufferers. She underwent a mitrofanoff procedure at a VA SCI facility which turned out to be disastrous for her. Instead of grousing to herself she wrote about her experience and published it in The Desert Oracle, our local Paralyzed Veterans of America magazine, pointing out the pitfalls associated with having this procedure done without proper education, staffing, and followup care. Her story should be a lesson to all of us who are considering any procedure to make our lives a bit more comfortable and independent. Now if she would just share her story here (hint, hint...wink, wink ). I would download it but am sensitive to copyrights.

"And so it begins."
