Finally on the mend . . . we hope!!

Just thought I would let you all know Bill is improving daily. Did any of you develop an ulcer immediately after your injury as my husband did??? Well it decided to revisit him we believe as a result of screwing around with the Fentanyl and his other pain meds etc. His digestive system came to a stand still if you catch my drift and well the rest is history as they say! At least now they know what they're treating except it means he needs to be in the hospital quite a bit longer! No fear - I went in there armed with pages (and pages) printed off our beloved site about skin care and autonomic dysreflexia etc. etc. etc. and I'll do so for everything else I feel they need to know about caring for an SCI patient. We've been done the bed sore road before - never again if I can possibly help it!!!

I'm looking forward to trying some of those burger places you guys talked about, with Bill after he can eat normally again!! Thanks for the concern! I love this place!
