Question regarding syringomyelia!

I am writing to let you know my current health situation and maybe to find out some good advices and to help other SCI with similar symptoms and problems. (please check my treads regarding pain).
After almost two years of searching for the solution for my problems: (neuropathic pain, sweating , weird uncomfortable felling in my face etc.) I found out that my problems probably comes from pressure in my neck. I did MRI of my neck and they diagnose a long posttraumatic syringomyelia (from c4 to t1).
Here in Croatia neurosurgeons are not comfortable of doing surgery on me. I am c5 quad complete. Is it possible to send MRI of my neck to some doctors in US for the second opinion? If so, can you please suggest me where and to whom?
Is it possible to receive some advices from doctors visiting this site?(Dr. Young…)
I can post few of my MRI pictures.
Thank you
Marko

I am sure it is possible to send your MRI to physicians here in the States. I would suggest that you contact one of the Model Centers and see who they suggest. The next step would be to see what actions they would want to take and see if your doctors in Croatia can work with them.
You can try: Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of Delaware Valley. Philadelphia, PA
Midwest Regional SCI care System. Chicago, IL
Craig Rehab Hospital. Denver, CO
Shepherd Spinal Center. Atlanta, GA
Mt.Sinai Hospital. NY, NY

There are other centers, too, but this is a start.
