The best wheelchair gloves ever
Shopping with my girlfriend a couple of months ago at REI I found a pair of PETZL rappelling gloves and they are the best gloves for a chair I've ever used. They're perfect. They fit better and are more comfortable and tough as hell.
First off, the fingers are really short and pre-curved. They're not too short but just right. With all the other gloves I've used (lots) the fingers are too long and I can't pick up anything while wearing the gloves. With the PETZL gloves I can get my keys out, something I could never do before. One odd thing - the sizes. Normally I wear a large. Once trying to improved my dexterity I ordered a pair of mediums and they hurt for months while I tried stretching them out. With the PETZL gloves I fit their XS size. Sounds weird I know but I guess they size them different, maybe for climbing reasons? Lastly, they are light colored and I think look better, have a large reinforced hole in the cuff for attaching to a caribiner, have a breathable mesh that covers the entire back AND cost less than thirty dollars. I can't remember the exact cost but I do remember noticing they cost less than the gloves I've been buying for ten years from Sportiad. Next time I'm at REI, I'm going to stock up just in case PETZL ever decides to stop selling them. They're awesome. |

Pretty sure they are rappelling gloves.
I love REI and that's where I've found my favorite winter time gloves as well.

For the past few years I've used push ease gloves but wells lamont doesn't seem to be producing them now. I thought I'd give the Petzl rappelling gloves a try, and they are much better. Found some on amazon for $29, the same price I was paying for push ease. They aren't as padded as the push ease, but the feel is better and seem to withstand rain better. Like the op advises, order a size small. I ordered a set of medium (same as push ease) but would be better in size small. Just my $.02.

Costco leather gloves. Three pack. Cowskin only leather I found holds up. Wells Lamont Grips. I used to use those REI gloves but honestly got tired of spending the $29 bucks. Try the grips, they are just as good but lots cheaper. IMHO

I use polyurethane dipped palm gloves. I started off with free ones my roommate brought home from work. Then I found ones online 10 for $10 (does require searching, many places charge $3 or $4 for a single pair). Then I used my high quality sewing scissors (important to avoid fraying) to cut the fingers down. I've even gotten compliments on them LOL. They fit snug and are great for me over my wrist braces, grippy palms, and they're cheap so I always have clean pairs around. I have them in white, grey, and black.
