like waiting for X-mas a.m
deel90: I know what you mean watching the calendar like you were six waiting for X -Mas morning!! Sweet anticipation sure wish it would cool off we are still hitting upper 70s and still no frost I cannot ever remember a time before this year when I got bitten by a mosquito while elk hunting ..

Mooner: Those hay field elk taste the best!! the alphalpha ( spelling) fields are crack like cocaine to elk around here crossing main roads & highways to access It, many guys hunt them as they return to the timber every morning and reach public ground.. we google earth measured one herd they were traveling 5 miles one way every night to get their fix!! A couple times we sat behind the big round bales to ambush them fattest elk I have ever eaten.. I love moose meat i have gottrn a couple but missed the biggest one I have ever seen around here I was in deep snow out breath looked over there he stood looking at me I couldn't settle the cross hairs so I didn't shoot and off he ran.. my biggest issue pre & post is allowing / asking for help so I know what you mean trusting someone to help especially so far away but the adventure & reward will be worth it, you will have enough stories to last a lifetime ...

Reel: This was my first season using underarmor gear, we use the super night shot on our video camera to make sure non of our gear emits UV or has UV brighter in it their gear all.passed except a couple white areas, if you don't own video camera with night shot use a blacklight might be analog but they claim deer family all can see/ detect UV I figure why chance it.. good luck & good hunting..

big whitetail
Dusty: big whitetail are the toughest deer to bag as far as I am concerned I have only shot one huge whitetail and he just missed the book I just love trying to figure them out problem around here is most big bucks rarely come out during the daylight hours then only during the peak of the rut I have found shed antlers that were book material so I know their around I used to sit in tree stands for hours in those areas but they would wait until dark to cross but that was pre accident going to have to hunt them another way but i will hunt them

I went to sight in and shoot my crossbow on Saturday. I was using my iscope but was having a little trouble with keeping the screen from glaring out and also had my battery die early. Other than that though, I was hitting a 3" dot out to 50 yards and nearly had it at 60 yards, but that's when the battery started blinking out. The place where I would already be hunting has cattle on it at the moment and have to wait til the herd is moved. I'm going to practice with my crossbow again this week to dial it in as best as I can. Last season, I was working my trigger mechanism with my arm on a toggle switch, but it was messing up my shot, so I got some air-powered pressure switches and incorporated it into my aiming bite-piece. I'll get some pics and post soon.
Oh, by the way, if you want to win a new scope, check out this link: http://wingunsandknives.upickem.net/...3K3395y?r=3329

For some reason I just can't get pumped up to go out hunting. I'd almost rather spend my time growing big bucks than trying to kill them.. Maybe I just need to get out anyways and quit being a sissy..lol

![]() I have a buddy that kills huge deer every year but he has sole access to 1800 acres, all the farm equipment he needs, and has crops out the ying yang for them. He grows them big. He claims to be a great hunter but when you can walk out into the field and rattle a feed bucket and they come running, I call you a damn good deer farmer!
