Well that makes sense to brush your teeth after a meal to get rid of bacteria.

But you know, everyday some scientific research study comes out with findings that contradict a previous one. Sometimes I scratch my head at the results. The hard thing for us as consumers is to try to make sense of it and see if it is worth applying to our lives. I usually wait until there is a medical or nursing guideline that would warrant me changing my practice.

Sorry, couldn't see your eyes twinkle. Jokes get lost in typewritten words and there are lots of comments like yours on this forum that are serious. How is one to differentiate?
All the best,
GJ

PS, I've got one, life that is. Thanks

I read an article recently, and it said if you had eaten anything acidic or staining to wait 30 min. before brushing. If you brushed sooner it would cause your teeth to absorb more of the acid or color into the enamel.

Brush before eating? Yuck! That would ruin the taste of my food.

My usual practice is to disregard any medical advice that asks me to change behaviors I enjoy. As you rightly state, there will soon be a study supporting my decision.

The latest research suggests scratching your head before reading the results.

Wheel Travel,

The advice i once got from newspaper is brushing teeth at least 1 hr after eating. If not, the enamel will be corroded and the teeth will turn fragile and sensitive.
