You're gonna be okay, Rain. Try not to worry. Just check out low residue diets and start as soon as possible. You will thank yourself for doing so.

And do not even think of colostomy options. Stress is bad for you. This stuff runs in my family and so far had a few removed I just never ask how big they are. Thanks too for reminding me to schedule my next screening.

Last Nov. I had my first and maybe last for me.....lol....I had a 7mm sessile polyp in the cecum and was removed with a cold snare.
Resection and retrieval were complete. Was a month later before I got the test results back. No news is good news Biopsy was benign. Come back in 5 years.....yuck that. That Golytely is the worse thing I have ever tasted in my life.....and they wanted me to drink 2 gallons of this shit....1 gallon was all I could take....took the rest with mag of citrate. Hope in the future they come up with something better....please GOD.....lol

if I get three quarters of a gallon down and I am really cleaned out thanks to the efforts of my wife and caregiver who does digital stimulation to get out the very last stool/mucus. She also has the area around my commode chair covered, wall to wall plastic to catch wayward, projectile eruptions. All the best, GJ |

They insisted Chad drink two gallons too. He got down about one gallon before he literally could not drink anymore. The very best for a prep are OsmoPrep pills. They are HUGE HUGE HUGE, really HUGE, and you have to take tons TONS TONS of them, but so much better than the liquid. I did that for my last colonoscopy and it was much more pleasant (if I can use that word) than the liquid. I gag so badly at the liquid that I canceled the one that I was asked to do the liquid.

Ya they really wanted me to drink 2 gallons....I said after first gallon I had enough as I threw up the last half glass. They said they would run a tube down my throat if I could not drink the other and they said the tube is no fun threw the nose.
I said bring on the tube I cant drink no more....1/2 hour later they came back with the mag.

Please let us know how things go. My wife is a colon cancer survivor (since 2000). Her's was in the same area as yours. They just removed a small section of the colon and no chemo or anything was necessary. She has been fine ever since then. I know what you are going through and wishing you the best.
