just saw this too! Glad you posted it..
love the compact aspect as it would be great for travel..and a little help pushing would be good for trips too..now it just needs to add suspension and a third wheel option

Of course it would need to be fit with some type of good quality pressure reducing cushion, some type of calf strap or other device to keep legs in place on the foot pedals, and there may not be enough trunk support for those with higher injuries. Also, how do you attach a wheelchair backpack or bag/shelf for carrying books, groceries, etc. etc.?

I like it. You could set your beer on the flat top motors. If they get warm you could make a little grill and cook hot dogs, as you go.

As a concept design, rather than the final, I think there are a lot of really good ideas there: the gyroscopic technology that allows for the elimination of casters, the compact, foldable electric wheelchair design (though it sounds more like a power addon than true electric to me). Obviously, the seating isn't viable as it is; I shudder at the thought of that back for 6-8 hours every day. But I don't think it's meant to be any kind of realistic prototype because the current design doesn't allow for all ththe various permutations of the human body. There's no way that design allows a 5'1 shorty like me and super-tall CapnGimp because it looks like the only way to manage it relies on using wholly different wheel sizes as the skeleton behind any modification.
Visually, of course, were this actually the final product, it would be good only as a pediatric chair (and the fitting problems and lack of "grow" makes it a poor option for that market, evenn though a little kid in that chair would look SO CUTE *squeeeeeee*). Who among us adults would rather use this than a sleek TiLite-style chair? So I say we cannibalize the ideas where we can, rather than take it as it is. It does look totally adorable, though. I've never seen a wheelchair I've wanted to cuddle before. |

Nice! I dig it too, very cool looking. I like the name too, it's not too goofy.
