And a buddy sent me this one today from a farm I used to have permission to hunt. Now HE'S a beast! Nice buck for Virginia.

Sweet, and you are right about the I states. Does your bow season start in Sept? Here in VA it's ll be the first Sat in October and I am chomping at the bit.

I wish I still had permission to hunt the farm I mentioned with the buck above, but the property was sold and the new owners don't allow any hunting. This guy lives on the adjacent property.

Iowa youth/disabled season is usually 2 weekends before the Oct 1 bow season. I haven't looked yet to find the exact dates. We just cleared about an acre or so today with the skid loader and planted a bunch of food plots. I'm hoping we get some rain tonight so the seeds take off. I have a feeling once they start the deer will have them mowed down to nothing. I should put a couple woven wire cages in there to see how much they're eating..

We have an early youth day here in VA but no way will they allow "disabled hunters". Every person with a sore ankle, limp, bad wrist, broken fingernail would get their Dr to sign them off as disabled.

It's dry back here but my clover plots are still hanging on. The acorns from the chestnut oaks are already starting to drop.
