agreed, also check out GlobalSourcing.com.
fyi, i have limited exp sourcing textiles but what turned me away was the min. qty required per size and pattern so your MOQ of 2,000 units per size or pattern will expand depending on how many sizes & patterns you need. i would use a logistics company like Encore Forwarding (http://www.encfor.com/) b/c they have customs agents at the port of departure to check freight to ensure any organic packaging materials have been treated so they pass customs at their destination. for small volume and custom work i would find a local garment company in the U.S. or N. America. china has low cost manufacturing but be careful b/c the quality control, or lack of, will increase your final price per unit. other countries in se asia are more expensive but have better QC. good luck EDIT: here is a link to apparel and garment factories in the U.S. http://www.apparelsearch.com/america.htm http://www.tamamfg.com/services/index.html Last edited by Rick c5 c6 quad; 07-25-2012 at 12:43 PM. |

Thanks. But I haven't done anything with them in a long time. But I have been thinking about switching careers again. If we have a switch in administration I am Pretty sure i'm going back into business for myself again. Good luck. |

I use to be that way. But I have worked for some very good people over the years. I'm currently took time off from my insurance job where i've been for ten years. The company is looking for ways to cut back loses and it really hurting our office in the number of policies we can write. Which really hurts our commissions. My office laid off several people and I didn't want to see any body else go because we were already down to 30 hours. So I wasn't feeling that good and wanted to get a colostomy so I asked for a few months off. Hopefully by the time I go back they loosen up the rules on writing.

I think the comment above about the minimum qnty may be relevant. I do not know what want made, but unless it was a lot, I would look around locally for a manufacturer. Below is a company in MN that makes their own products. If yours is similar/similar materials, perhaps they would contract mfg some. Or they may have ideas of where to go. Also, I though that there used to be (a long time ago) a company called K-products out of Canton SD (south of SF), but I cannot find them anymore.
Whatever you end up doing, let us know how it works out. Just curious. https://www.battlelakeoutdoors.com/s...73b4d4796e48a1
