Coloring hair - Page 2

I parted my hair today like I have it when I fix it to go somewhere. I have a strand of hair that somehow was not colored so it is still the golden color of the highlights I had put in a few months ago. It looks so tacky. I don't know how I missed that strand. But hopefully I'll be able to hide it into the rest of my hair when I go somewhere.

Faith there are spray on colors now that also act as a styling product. That will help with roots so should help you. Washes off in the shower too. Only problem is having good aim and an old towel because it gets allover your shoulders or your sink needs a quick clean if it hits there. Done right it takes very little. If I remember the brand I'll post it.

"color oops" took black hair dye out of my hair a week after coloring it.

My Mom and me would do each others hair then on my own I used to Color my hair , Retouch it as the roots grow out etc.... It was Fun I like doing hair one of the few things I really enjoyed ...

After Neck fusion I wore big neck brace for long time
Then over the past several years I just grew it out and silvers came out like Highlights My friends liked the Natural color

As Feisty stated the whole PH levels and tricks are Bang Dead On

In my case Warm Water I only rinsed my hair Thus Keeps the Color in much longer and makes Retouching easier for me ..
Poisons
Many shampoos literally are like Strippers so I do not particularly care for them they lift colors out
Plus their ingredients are not safe to me ...
Really I am very sensitive
If the Stuff burns Eyes pulls Tones out of Black color you'll see colors running It just does not cut it for me ...
I Remember coloring My friend Tina's Hair Jet Black it came out great but she used some cheap shampoo and Lifted the color ...I had to Redo her hair told her to stayaway from that junk shampoo
So I was Reading ingredients on some hair product It Contained LYE ,Phoshphates and Geesh Amongst other strong stuff ... Might as well be a rocket scientist lol

All that hard work
I'll pass and have color ...

When I Recolor my hair and i'll probably be doing it in a week or so Hopefully .

The first color I had put on it was actually black/brown. I recolored it a week later to dark brown. It helped to lighten it a bit. I like the color now and it seems close to my originally hair color. I believe I'm finished coloring my hair. I like it at first, but the roots start showing after a few weeks and I think it look tacky after that.
