MYTH: Do redheads have a lower pain tolerance than other people?
Finding: BUSTED

*however, the results are confounded by the subjects knowing about the myth and hypothesis, which could have lead the redheads to make greater effort than the controls to endure the pain longer than they would have otherwise.

I can't take the credit. Carolann's brother has four red headed children. But hey, I am feeding them this weekend so that counts for something.

More about red hair

Cryos, the world’s largest sperm bank, revealed that they’re now
turning down ginger-haired donors due to lack of demand from prospective
parents.

The British Telegraph
reports that Cyros director Ole Schou said: “There are too many
redheads in relation to demand. I do not think you chose a redhead,
unless the partner — for example, the sterile male — has red hair, or
because the lone woman has a preference for redheads. And that’s
perhaps not so many, especially in the latter case.”

Cyros sends it semen to over 65 countries and Ireland is the only
place where donors with red hair are in demand. The majority of parents
prefer donors with brown hair and brown eyes.

People are attracted to RH people not RH derived sperm......there is a big difference. Most people are not RH and want their children to have their own color hair.

My Mom had red hair and no pain sensation or it was blunted. She passed that trait on to me. Very helpful when in labor. They had to wake me to deliver.

She was not paralysed or anything. She almost died when a strangulated hernia appeared and she only had a mild discomfort and a bump on her belly. She was constantly on the lookout for weird things that could signal illness in a normal sensation person.
