My Cystoscopy Showed No Stones!
Hello Everyone,
So I went to get some bladder stones remove on Friday but the cystoscopy found none, Anyone else have this occur? could I have passed them through my catheter? For the last few months I couldn't make it 3 weeks with out my cath clogging, I know its not my fluid intake, But Hasn't clogged up the last few weeks due to cath changes about every 2 weeks. I'm puzzled any suggestions? Mike |

No med changes, my diets the same. When the clogging started a few months ago I did increase my water intake because of the sediment. I've had a catheter for about 25 years, the last time i had trouble was 12 years ago and that was stones.

Do you have an indwelling urethral foley or a suprapubic catheter?
It sounds like stepping up the water you drink helped. Many us here use Vetericyn as a daily bladder instillation. It helps keep the bladder clear of colonization that often contributes to sediment. If you continue to have trouble you may want to investigate this method. Here are some threads to get you started: http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/showthread.php?t=133414 http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/showthread.php?t=149966 http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/showthread.php?t=143797 http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/showthread.php?t=167480 http://vetericyn.com/technology/faq.php All the best, GJ |

I have an Indwelling. I always did drink plenty of water, when the clogging started I increased as much I could. I've never heard of Vetericyn, Thanks for the info GJ

My urologist didn't have me get an x-ray first, maybe I should of. I had bladder stones about 12 years ago and it was the same symptoms this time so no x-ray seemed ok to me.

The stones could have passed. It is possible you could have a large amount of sediment that forms in your bladder. You can either flushed your catheter every other week and then change the catheter every 2-3weeks in between. Glad you had good results.
