Is there any hand cycle

that, as you cycle with your hands, moves your legs?

That is exactly what I was looking for too. I found one, made in Europe (will try to find the link). I almost ordered one, but it was verrry expensive.

Then, on a visit to my parents in the UK, I visited Da Vinci's handicapped place in Liverpool. In the corner they just happened to have one of these bicycles. They let me test it....

I hated it....!

It was not what I had hoped it would be. I was so relieved I had not ordered one. Just not how it seemed to be on the advert.

I'll try to find the link...brb

I thought you'd ask that...and I'm not sure if I remember exactly. I think my knees were hitting my hands. I felt like a beetle on his back with all this legs and arms moving. The ratio was not good either......hands and legs moving at different paces. Was glad to get off the thing. And wish I could give you a better feedback....

Lightfoot Cycle in Montana makes some that will have both hand and feet pedals. I suspect if your feet aren't strong enough to help (or to stay on well) that you could come up with something to attach them. I'd worry about my legs flopping around, though, or aggravating the wimpy muscles in my hips. I don't know your situation, so this might not matter for you!

I've been lusting after their options for two riders - it would nice to go on longer rides, but I just haven't got the endurance yet.

to keep your feet on the pedals. buy cycling shoes with cleats. Works great.
