New Dinos wheels

Hi guys.

I remember the first time I saw Dinos wheels`s pics I thought: not bad, but nothing special of other world, look just like a copy of mine (famous brand with 12 spokes too)
Well, now that I have tried them I have to say that never was I more far off the reality.

A few months ago Round Betty wheels contacted me because they want to get into the Spanish market and waned to sponsor me with a set of wheels and give them a test and see my opinions about their wheels.

Well, lets go by steps.

When the package of the wheels arrive and I opened it up I have to say I was impressed, the wheels look in reality much stronger and robust than in pics, because their spokes thickness are 6.5mm diameter( around a ¼”) and you don`t really appreciate that in pics.

About the spokes, there are a lot of colours to choose from, here you can see a few colours available, each spoke weighs 13 grams( depending size) and are made in aluminium, the spokes are basically little tubes. Thanks to the big diameter it allows them to be hollow, for reduce the weight of the wheel, as you can see in the pic I’m looking at the sun through one of this spokes.

This new version of wheels have drilled the holes in hubs and rims in the exact angle where the spoke have to fit, this way they reduce the tension on spokes heads.
Spokes are mounted in an aluminium hub and a V rim, the hub looks very clean and can come with optional ceramic hybrid bearings and we`ve got the option to order the wheels with the pushrims fixed with aluminium bolt and valve caps with the same colour as our spokes as you can see, and the entire wheel, with bearings, pushrims, bolts and rim strips weight 1123 grames ( 2.5lbs)

Once I put them on my chair and start riding with them I get even more impressed with them, have an extraordinary rigidity and give maximum efficiency at each push, the only thing that I would improve are the pushrim tabs, they have two holes, and I have them in the long position, but still a bit short for my taste, I would like them a bit longer, but of course that are only my personal preferences, maybe I change the pushrims for the stainless steel pushrims I have in my Mavics, now I'm a mess, don`t know what to put in my chair for my every day lol.

After riding a week with them and doing in afternoons rides about 6-7 miles I have to say this is the best wheelchair wheels I have tried ever, and you remember that I had one of the best wheelchairs wheels, but I don`t want to speak about others brands in this review, but all you know what i`m speaking about, and I can assure you that they are not just a bit better, are much better.

The wheel looks clean and cool, very, very light, just 12 spokes, never have heard a spoke clank, very rigidity and strong, and you only need a few seconds for clean a wheel, so if you are looking for a wheel for change your old ones, you don`t need nothing more, this is your wheels, just choose your colour.
If I have to summarize what I think about them I just need a word: Fantastic.

Here you`ve got a video.
