Enlarged Prostate
About 12 years ago I had a TURP. Unfortunately as is the case frequently my prostate is enlarged again. I have the classic systems of problems starting and a weak stream and urgency to go. I am able to empty pretty good with little residual. My question is should I have another TURP? My regular urologist is ready to do it, but I have read that if a person has a neurogenic bladder, there is a high probability of incontinence. What has been your experience? I have a low PSA have exams regularly, so I don't have cancer.

Hi,
Incontinence is always a possible side effect with TURP. I think its important to ask whether you had an side effect after your first TURP? AAD |

I had my last TURP before I had a spinal cord injury and at that time I had nor have had since any incontinence. If it is something I can do safely, I would certainly be more comfortable
