I have a down comforter AND an electric blanket. I only use the electric blanket to warm the bed, and the down comforter works for the rest of the night.

Wearing a hat to bed is also a really good idea (not silly). I always do this when going camping.

Well it feels silly wearing it, I guess is what I mean ..... I know the theory behind it.

While my son was at the rehab., we met someone who got serious burn from the electric blanket. We keep my son's bedroom warmer than the rest of the house.

Goodness. That is scary. I make sure to put my blanket carefully on top of me, and I have a sheet or something between me and it. I also don't spasm a lot, so my legs wouldn't come together and trap the blanket.

What about...HAT HAIR!
Joking aside, I think I might try that.
