Another MRI
Well, prior to going under the knife for the Laminectomy next week, I am slated for yet another MRI tonight. I guess I have to give the surgeon a little credit. His chief complaint throughout this whole process has been that he has been basing a lot of the decisions to operate based on a two year old MRI. He has always wanted a more recent picture to see what has been happening and where I am now. The last 3-4 days have been hitting 8 or 9 on the pain scale and short of ending it all I am trying the mind over matter trick I have to keep telling myself that the surgery will make things better and I only have another week to go. Sometimes a week seems like eternity though when each passing movement of the clock seems to take two steps forward and one step back. Hey wasn't there a country song that went like that? LOL!! Most of the previous MRI's have been 500 miles away and this one is only 90 miles. I can't wait to be able to toss some of these damn pills to the curb. As you can tell I have big high hopes for this surgery!!! My biggest fear is that after all this waiting and waiting, the "simple" surgery turns into something more major like fusing or maybe into "sorry there is nothing I can do to help you" God I pray that this is not the end and that there is hope that I will be able to function on a little better fashion. Wish me luck all!!!!
