enemeez vs. magic bullet

Good morning, hope everyone ( in the U.S. !! ) had a great Thanksgiving, and everyone else is well.
t-11 incomplete 19 yrs post injury, currently 40 years old.
Used bisacodyl suppos for maybe 15 years, took at least a couple hours to complete. Then magic bullet for the past 4-5 or so. Magic bullet decreased my movement time, ten minutes post insertion to begin, then 20-30 minutes on toilet to complete. Works great, but frequently (maybe 30% of the time) have the afterburn affect, bloatedness and then a mucous discharge typically later in the day.

Tried an enemeeze plus today. From insertion to the toilet was two minutes. Then, 20 minutes on the toilet, and felt emptied, couldn't believe it, was a substantial change. I didn't feel gassy directly after and I don't feel bloated so far, I'll see how the day goes.

Questions to sci nurse:

Is there a difference I should be concerned with if I continue on enemeezplus vs magic bullet suppository ? ie: long term use

It is difficult to know when the tube is empty, is it important to completely empty the enemeez tube ?

Is there a big difference between enemeez and eneemez plus ?

Anything else I should know of if I continue using this product ? Trying to limit long term problems, so I'm curious which one is better ( enemeez or suppository) for the long term.

Appreciate your help as always,

Donald

Bump... I'm interested in this response, I use magic bullets and would love to cut that 40 minutes down to 20.

I use enemeez. It works so much faster and completely. The difference with the enemeez plus is that it has a little local anesthetic to reduce any AD.

I had a problem emptying the little tube it comes in so I mounted about 8” of intermittent catheter to the end of a syringe and use that to insert the liquid. I just squirt the liquid into the syringe and lubricate the catheter with a little KY. It’s easy to get all of the liquid where it needs to go. (does that help mona?)

I lay in bed to insert the liquid but with the catheter it can be done on the showerchair no problem.

Thanks! yes it does

Intermittent cather~

Okay I have indwelling catheters.
Would they work?
How would my care giver know how far to go up.
She's not even a cna.
What do I tell her?

No, don't use one of your catheters for this. That was an adaptation he does to make it easier for him to do it himself. If your caregiver is inserting the Enemeez, she need use nothing else. Put a little lubricant on the tube. Insert as far up as it will go (the tube is only a couple of inches long), and squeeze the body of the dispenser; remove & discard.

I think nurse put up a graphic in your other thread. It's just like the suppository in that it needs to be placed past the spincter.. As for the indwelling I don't know. I was just trying to find a way to get the stuff mounted on my own..

(I'm not the nurse but I've been using this product since I found it 6 months or so ago)

If you contact enemeez, they will send you samples to try. I couldn't stand having that afterburn stuff from the magic bullets. Talk to Julie at enemeez and she will hook you up.
