.......to all of you who have been so kind to me, a complete stranger, over the last few months. My post about my son's accident and C-5 incomplete compressed, burst fracture - over the Labor Day weekend, was met with so much compassion and caring - I am at a loss for words trying to thank you.

The advice & information have been invaluable.
The empathy and concern, heart warming.

I am much better educated and informed about what he has gone through, and what he still has to go through. I could not have survived this, emotionally or physically without the knowledge (answers to my questions as well as guides to send me on the path) you have given me.

I was frantic with worry, and concerned about the possible mistakes made along the way. Your advice steered me in the directions I neded to follow, to try to avoid those mistakes- and saved valuable time and corrected treatment follies. For this I am truly grateful.

I will try to avoid being lengthy, and also try to avoid being emotionally 'mushy' (can't think of an adequate word). I truly could be both.
This forum is a lifeline for SCI tragedies. It can turn what seems to be the most devastating event in one's life- into a reasonable and treatable, survivable moment in time.

As a father, I've learned so much, & the members here have been so supportive -- it has been a ......'lifesaving experience' for me and, in turn, my son, Adam. I only hope that he will be able to come here himself and gain from all of you, at least as much as I have. I know that there will be more, much more for him to glean from it, if he ever can physically surf this site.
My hope & prayer is that he will have enough recovery & rehab
to be able to do so.
