question about bowel program

hi there

my SCI fiance does his bowel program MWF - used to just use enema, but lately, thanks to bob, using magic bullet

my question is this: here in palestine, and throughout the arab world, every bathroom is equipped with a water spigot next to the toilet (people often rinse rather than wipe after defecating)

well, i really want to travel with him, and in the west it is not common for bathrooms to have such a spigot, or a drain in the floor.

he is convinced that he cannot do his bowel program without using lots of water (ie. rinsing, washing, cleaning the area and his gloved hand)....also, he usually urinates on the floor while sitting on the toilet.

all of this really worries him, and he is sure he can't do his bowel program without water. i have told him i'm sure there are lots of paraplegic people who manage to do it without water, and i told him i would ask on this forum how people manage to do it.

thanks in advance.

Wet washcloths at home and babywipes when I travel. Find some that are very soft.. (I put the used gloves and babywipes in a small ziploc plastic bag before I put them in the garbage.)

does this mean everyone else uses a water sprayer for their bowel program?

cmon i need to convince him that it's possible to do his bowel program without a water sprayer!! or i'll never get him to travel!
