quickie rubber tips for brake handles?

I need to replace my rubber tip on my quickie brakes. where do i find them? i have looked all over the internet and cannot find anyplace that sales them. i even went to Lowe's to see if i can get some made for tools, but all they had is some liquid you had to dip into and allow to dry, but i know they sale them somewhere made for it.

Have you tried contacting Quickie or your wheelchair vendor? If the ones you have now are completely gone, and you need something to get by, you can go to an auto parts store and find a rubber hose that will fit over it and cut it to size.

Hi there,
We have replaced these tips many of times. You can get them through any medical supply office. They usually carry Quickie supplies like cushions and ect. Or they will order them for you and you will have them in a couple of days. Usually the best place is the hospital medical supply house.

I got a few extra of theses things(whatever the technical name for them is). My wheelchair supplier gave them to me. I actually got them to slip on the brake park that is sticking out when the wheels are off. The metal was butchering the inside door panel when bringing my chair in the car. Anyhow, I simply asked him one day when I was at his office. He went in the back and grabbed me a few.

I got tired of replacing them. So I went to Home Depot and bought plyer handles. They are red and very tough. I belive the make was Klien and their part number was 89.

Cut each piece in two. One pair will yield two pair. You may need to moisten them on the inside. Then push then on the brake handle. you may have to bang them on with a hammer but once are on they will last forever.
