Red grapes are my preference. Much sexier ...
![]() Heel of the bread ... best part. My daughter and I will split it between us, especially on a hot fresh loaf of french bread. Hmmm ... red grapes, french bread. All that's missing is a bottle of wine, a little brie, some burning candles, and a man! ![]() ~ "Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear." ~ Ambrose Redmoon |

I prefer green grapes but red wine
.Martha I ALWAYS get the heel of the bread, you are very generous to share, try to get it in this house and you may lose a finger . If we ever break bread together, we'll have to have two loaves .

OK, does Beringer White Merlot count as white or red wine??
I love Merlot and I do love chardonnay, but if given the preference I will always chose Merlot. Just wondering whether White Merlot is white or red? I hate White Zinfindel, it's too sweet! Ok, I already said the heel of the bread, and the wine and definitely some brie, light some vanilla candles...............can't go any further in this forum. What a tease!!!!!!!!! To be continued.... |

uh...er...white merlot is no closer to merlot than white zinfandel is to zinfandel....and they are closer to desert than to wine. Both are very sweet...made from late harvest red grapes that are not pressed but the juice is just let to run out as they are racked...the color is all in the skin. They would be OK w/ a nice creme brulee or cheescake...but as for meals or just drinking...er...naw.
