Buying a used car...need help.
I don't know much about cars and I come here to see if anyone can guide me in getting the car that I need.
I will be doing a lot of driving since I will be commuting to school and also driving for work. I want a used car that can do the job for me and not kill me on gas. I am looking for a 2-door or 4-door car. I also need a lot of leg room because I am a tall guy(6'2). About price well, I dont want anything too expensive because I don't have the money. I am still living with parents so anything cheap but also realiable and cool. Hope you guys can help out. Thanks T5 Incomplete (06/02/03)- Walking with no assistance. |

an older honda or acura would be awesome if you can find one fairly cheap. they will easily go to 300,000 miles and the civics get great gas mileage. the next size up is the honda accord. it has more room in it but honestly the civic isnt that small inside either.
goodluck! ****MORE OHIO CC RAGE INFO COMING SOON!**** |

Simon is 6'3" and we have a Monte Carlo. He's been driving it since about a month after he got out of the hospital. Plenty of room for the hand controls and his long legs.
He says a 2 door is pretty important because you have to be able to get the wheelchair in by yourself if you're going out on your own. Also, try to get a car with a power drivers seat if possible. That way you don't have to try to move the seat under your own power. Simon takes his wheelchair apart and puts it into the back seat then off he goes. Of course when I'm with him he wants to take his standing wheelchair. The trunk of the Monte Carlo is pretty big and can hold the big chair and still have room enough for a week worth of groceries. Not too bad. mrsnomis (wife of imnomis) |
