not having slept well in 3 days and have not eaten much
I just joined this forum in search for an answer to help with a huge problem I just happened to have. For the past 96 hours, I've had at most, 17 hours of sleep and only ate a cup of frozen yogurt, a quarter plate full of pasta, and a glazed donut. Just yesterday, all of a sudden, at around 5PM or so, I collapsed onto my bed, unable to move. I was still wide awake even though I wanted to sleep (I just can't fall asleep, I don't know why) and I KNOW for a fact I was very tired. I have been told that the reason why I can't sleep is because I'm too stressed or I have something in mind that I'm worried about. Problem is, idk what's causing it, all I know is that my head always feel a bit pressured. I know that as a result of not being able to sleep, I haven't been able to eat either. This morning, after having slept for a combined total of around 10 hours (including waking up and falling asleep again), I finally got the strength to get up and shower but what happened in the shower? I fainted. After I got out of the shower, I decided to stay in bed for a little more time. I tried going out to eat a few hours later but I still couldn't. Tried eating just calamari, I couldn't. Only ate a few pieces and then I said I was full. After I got back home, I immediately went to lay down in bed again but still couldn't sleep. How critical is my condition? I'm not even in college yet, I just graduated from high school.
To put it in more simple terms, I do have the feeling of drowsiness, sleepy, and tired, but I cannot fall asleep. I have the feeling of hunger but I cannot eat much at all. |

I take it due to your lack of information above and a profile, that you do not have a spinal cord injury or other disability, so not sure why you are posting on this forum.
Are you taking any medications or drugs (legal or illegal)? While stress can cause interrupted sleep, it is more likely to cause frequent awakening rather than the total inability to sleep at all. (KLD) |
