Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

It was just recomended that I give this a try. (L4-5 cauda equina)
Yes, No , good or bad? I've read some past threads and am worried it might do more harm than good.

What are you going to use it for? My husband used it for healing of pressure sores and it did wonders. He got a lot further than what he would have if we just waited it out and between that and the antibiotics he was on, it knocked out the osteo he had as well.

As I recall, HBOT has been used with much success for strokes. It's use must be timely for real success. This indicates a possible reversal of neuronal damage. If that's what is suggested, give it a try.

If you don't equalize air pressure well, your hearing could be damage. After one treatment I had bleeding ear drums even though they pressurized very slow. There are reports of hearing loss with the treatment. Hopefully you won't have a problem.

It would be reassuring to know that any therapy would take this into account. I do not know what exact pressures are used, or how they might vary with condition.

It was suggested because I'm having some not so great side effects from lyrica.
I've read the chamber helps right after injury, I'm almost two years out so I was curious if it would benefit me or not. The lyrica is really messing with my vision, not excited about the possibility or hearing loss on top of that, especially since I don't understand much of what the HBOT is suppose to do.

Thanks for the replies..
