Would a walking quad be welcomed in a sci support group?

I am seeing a physcologist( see what 10 years of sci will get ya. lol) and he thinks I should go to a sci support group. I disagreed with him . I told him most sci's would not want to see or hear what I have to say.

I personally don't think I would be welcomed and probably will not go to one.

I apologize for putting this on cure forum rather than care

john i think you would be welcomed. but a few ppl will hate on you because of envy. however if you not take a paradude type attitude everything should be ok.

John, I spent several days at a symposium for victims of transverse myelitis this past summer. Some completely recover from this painful and paralyzing condition. Many recover most to all of their motor skills but a large group is left with some motor problems and major pain issues. Those who can walk are referred to as the "walking wounded" because they may be walking but they also have pain and may have bowel and bladder as well as sexual problems.

I didn't see or hear anyone there saying that the walkers should not be in certain shoot off groups to discuss any of the issues presented. The only division there was for children to head out for sailing for recreation and anther time for a play group whem more adult issues were discussed. TM effects infants to those well over 70.
