Here's what we're doing in Arizona

After a huge lobbying effort, Arizona now has 21 fields in our MLS that identifies accessibility features. Now, a person living elsewhere in the country can contact a realtor here and say "find me a house with a roll-in shower (or grab bars, or lowered counters...)" Previously, a realtor would advise that if you were selling a modified home, to get the best dollar you should probably reset it to a "standard configuration."

It's a step in the right direction...

"I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit."

Arizona rocks. Everything is flat and new. The only thing that sucks is the summer and monsoon season.
